The Solar Hot Water System
Tank Level Display Probe
• The Tank Probe is mounted
vertically in the water tank to sense the liquid level coming through
from the Mains valve. Manufactured from reinforced phenolic resin
and 316 Stainless Steel, it affords maximum resistance to corrosion.
The total sensing current flowing in the Probe Electrodes
is less than 50 micro amps, and will not cause
measurable electrolytic corrosion in the metallic fittings. The
Probe has been designed to withstand water at atmospheric pressure
at a maximum Temperature of 210F.
The standard probe measures 5’-0” or
(1530cm) in length. Five sensors are fitted, equally spaced from
the Tank bottom. Five green LED lights on the readout unit correspond
to the five sensors, one single red LED light indicates “TANK
EMPTY”.
The wall-mounted Readout box measures
65mm x 135mm x 40mm (WxHxD) and weighs 120g. Two sockets are provided
on the bottom of the Readout, one to connect to the Tank Probe,
and the other for low voltage power.
The system is typically powered by a “plug-Pac
12-VDC supply, or as for use Overseas the Probe can be connected
to a transformer system.
• The Probe can also be used to run off a 12-volt
car battery. A “low current drain” Readout is available
for such applications, extending battery life without sacrificing
LED brightness.
• The gauge weight is 2.8kg (6lb+).
Dimensions are 160cm long (63"), 65cm across the top (25"), 12cm
diameter along the length (4.75"). |
